Dell SC4020 all-flash 8TB NAS network attached storage dual FC16Gb/10GbE license

We are offering a unique high-performance storage system based on Dell SC4020 Compellent 24-disk SFF SAS2 network attached storage (NAS) array. The original Dell Compellent was based on proprietary licensed Storage Center software running on FreeBSD 10.0. This system is running a standard FreeBSD 14.1 Release and is completely license-free and open. You can use any standard small-form-factor SAS2/SAS3/SATA hard drive you want in this system, either SSD or HDD. Two fibre channel 16 Gbps and two 10 Gbps Ethernet ports are available for block storage sharing and NFS3 or NSF4 file sharing at near wire-speed performance (see pictures).

As configured, the array contains a single controller and eight 1 TB hot-swap SATA SSD set up in raid0 ZFS configuration. Currently, two 1TB volumes are set up for FC block sharing, one per FC16 port. The rest of the disk space (about 6 TB) is available to NFS via two 10Gb ports. Sixteen disk slots are covered with disk fillers and are available for storage expansion.

There are 3 management interfaces available in this system: 10GbE management port for in-band SSH login, serial console interface that can be used to set up the network parameters, and an in-band web management interface.
