We needed to reformat the byte sector size from 520b per sector to 512b per sector in order for windows to be able to wipe the drives so if you intend to add this to your EMC VNX Cabinet you must change the byte sector size back to 520b per sector on each drive. Otherwise, it can just be powered on and connected to a windows machine in the way we did and can be used as a storage array.
